Itinerary

Your journey begins in Pokhara, Nepal's adventure capital. From here, you take a jeep or bus to Sikles, a traditional Gurung village about 5–6 hours away. Sikles is not only the starting point of the trek but also a cultural highlight with traditional homes, local museums, and warm hospitality.

After a night in Sikles, you begin trekking towards Tasa Kharka or Hugu Goth, ascending gradually through terraced fields and rhododendron forests. This day introduces you to the peaceful and pristine environment that defines the Kori region. You’ll start to see snow-capped peaks like Lamjung Himal and Machhapuchhre Himal.

On the next day, you continue to Kori Danda, the main viewpoint and highest point of the trek. This grassy hilltop offers 360-degree views of major Himalayan peaks such as Annapurna II, Machhapuchhre, and Lamjung Himal. The landscape is open and alpine, often compared to a green carpet under the Himalayan sky. Sunrise and sunset from Kori Danda are truly breathtaking.

From Kori Danda, you can take a detour to Kapuche Lake, which is known as the lowest glacial lake in Nepal (at around 2,450m). Surrounded by towering cliffs and waterfalls, it’s a serene spot perfect for photography and quiet reflection. It’s a full-day trip depending on your pace.

After taking in the majestic views and highland serenity, you retrace your steps back to Sikles. You can take a slightly different trail back to explore new scenery. Spend another night in the village to enjoy Gurung hospitality before heading back.

From Sikles, take a jeep back to Pokhara, where you can rest and staying in the most beautiful hotel.
