Overview of Kalinchowk Bhagwati Trek

Kalinchowk Bhagwati is a Hindu temple located in the eastern hilly region of Nepal. Kalinchowk is one of the most visited local destinations in the winter. It is known for the trek to the shrine. Kalinchowk is about 150km away from Kathmandu. It is situated in the Dolkha at the altitude of 3,842 from sea-level. Its high altitude location offering breathtaking Himalayas views, and its accessibility via trek and cable car. There are lots of specialties which make Kalinchowk more special. There is a Religious Significance, Panoramic Views, Accessibility. Where we can feel natural and cultural experiences.

Highlights of Kalinchowk

This place is famous for trekking as well where trekkers can drive up to Charikot 1,550 meters above sea-Level and stay overnight exploring their lifestyle, culture, custom and traditions. On the next early morning after having breakfast trekkers can trek to kuri bazaar which is 3,200 meters above sea level and takes around five hours. During the trek from charikot to Kuri, trekkers will have stunning views of Himalayas, Monastery different birds, animals and beautiful smiling faces of different culture and castes living together with harmony.

 

Once reach to Kuri Bazaar trekkers can take rest and stay for overnight on hotels.  The  next day early in the morning one and half hour trek or 5 mins cable car drive will lead to kalinchowk temple. On the clear night Kathmandu can be seen illuminating with lights from top of the hill.

Itinerary

Moving early for kuri. After getting there, a base named called Kuri to enjoy the beauty of the Gaurishankar Himalayan range along with the snow-capped mountains. Refreshing your mind for 2 days and explores it as much as we can.

We visits Dolakha Bhimsen Temple which is an important heritage and pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists and return Kathmandu.
