Sailung Danda Trek

Sailung Danda Trek and tour is one of the famous non-tourist style trekking locations in Nepal. It is famous for the panoramic view of more than 3 mountain ranges and the unique ethnic culture and traditions in Nepal. Sailung Danda trek is also well known as one of the easiest and short treks in the Himalayas.

The Sailung Trek and tours begin only after a 6-7 hours drive from Kathmandu. Then, you will drive to Mude Bazaar and trek to Lamche Ahal. After that, you will trek to Lamche Ahal Khola Kharka (2600m) via Thulo Sailung (3146m). Then, you will pass through Doramba Gompa (2100m) and move towards Gurase Bhanjyang (2300m). Then, you will trek to Kafle Damara (1100m)-Chaubas Hill (2100m)-Bholung Village (920m). 

You will have one-day acclimatization in Bholung Village. After that, we will go to Chapkhore (1833m). From Chapkhore we will be trekking Timal Narayanthan and continue to Kot Timal (1960m). Similarly, from Kot Timal we will trek to Bhakunde Besi (700m)-Namo Buddha (1800m). From Namo Buddha, we will trek to Kusha Devi (1054m)-Naya Gaun (1850m). From Naya Gaun, we will visit Phulchoki Hill (2791m) and Lato Bhanjyang (1790m). 

Then, we will trek to Godawari and return to Kathmandu.

There are also other routes for Sailung Trek and tours including Chaubas Panorama Bholung village & Timal Narayanthan trekking route and Chaubas Panorama Bholung village & Timal Narayanthan Namobudhha trekking route.

A basic Introduction to Sailung

Sailung is located at the border area of the Dolakha and Ramechhap districts. But most of the land of Sailung falls in Dolakha. This place was named Sailung due to approximately a hundred small hillocks surrounding the whole area. ‘Sai’ means hundred and ‘Lung’ means the hills in the Nepali language. Sailung can also be reached by a motorable road that leads the way up from Mude, Dolakha.
